What to do
What to do in Asia
Being the world’s largest and most populous continent, Asia is certainly not short of exciting things to do.
But with a land so vast, if you’re in the region for just a short while, it’s good to have a shortlist of what to do in Asia on hand.
So, here we’ve narrowed down a shortlist of what to do in Asia:
Singapore – Singapore Zoo
The world’s largest captive orangutan group lives at this open-moat, free-ranging zoo, which spans over 220-acres. It is undoubtedly one of the best zoos in the world and definitely worth a visit if you’re in Singapore.
Hong Kong – Victoria Harbour
A visit to Hong Kong’s Victoria Harbour is a must. Long famous for its spectacular views, the harbour is a major tourist attraction of Hong Kong. Lying in the middle of Hong Kong’s dense urban region, the harbour is the site of annual fireworks displays and its promenades provide popular meeting places for tourists and residents.
Ho Chi Minh City – War Remnants Museum (Nha Trung Bay Toi Ac Chien Tranh)
Even the casual historian will question some of the displays in this controversial museum depicting the horrors of the Vietnam conflict, but it’s well worth a visit.
Kuala Lumpur – Petronas Twin Towers
The Petronas Towers are an impressive icon of Kuala Lumpur. They are visible from just about anywhere in the city and dominate the city skyline. About 1,000 tickets are issued per day for the tour of the Skybridge. Tickets are free and available on a first come, first served basis.
Seoul – Gyeongbok Palace
This is probably Korea’s most famous royal palace. It’s conveniently located at the northern end of Seoul’s main boulevard, Sejongro. Gyeongbok Palace was built in the late 1300s, and has been destroyed and reconstructed numerous times. English tours are available about three times daily for visitors to learn more about Korea’s architectural traditions and court customs.
